Premise

At Right Choice, we see the emerging achievements of our learners as a direct result of their engagement in and evidence of their learning. We believe that the achievement of one target lays the basis for further engagement in learning which yields more achievements that are evidenced by the unit awards pursued and achieved. All achievements are praised and clear targets are set on a termly basis with each learner. 

 

To further implement our ethos, our curriculum offer covers: Educational qualifications (GCSEs and Functional Skills); Vocational qualifications (BTEC, etc) and Unit Award qualifications.

 

How do we provide fair access to assessment?

We provide two entry points for our learners to demonstrate their learning by registering learners for the Winter and Summer Exams Series. This ensures that all students have fair access to assessment, while providing them with the experience of engaging with and managing exam conditions. We have found that this arrangement has yielded positive outcomes for our learners and is in line with our motto of ‘giving young people a second chance’.

Each learner is provided with reasonable adjustments that give due regard to their stated learning needs in order for them to be able to fully participate in the assessment.

 

Each referring agencies receive a results’ list for their referred learners.
